Union Church Giving

As you consider your yearend giving and 2024 personal budgets, we hope that Union Church is part of your plan. Here are ways to give to Union Church now and throughout next year.

  2. Place a check or cash in the offering boxes on Sundays.

Children’s Bulletins

Union Church now has Children’s Bulletins available for our littlest worshipers on Sundays! There is an option for 3-7 and 7 and up. Make sure to check them out this week!

FOOD PANTRY Nov 12

November 12th 6:00PM in Fellowship Hall

Please place your donation of non-perishable grocery items in the “Food Pantry” bin located near the Fellowship Hall entrance. This month we need: cereals, pasta sauce, canned chicken, baked beans, mac & cheese, green beans, corn, peas, peanut butter, jelly, soap bars, shampoo, dental products, and toilet paper. Also gently used (or new) clothing, shoes, coats, jackets, and household items are welcome. If you know someone who could use support right now, please call the church and ask for the Deacons.

  • Helpers needed on Tuesday, November 12th in Fellowship Hall:

*10:00AM – Pack food boxes *5:30PM Setup and distribute food boxes

THANKSGIVING DAY at ‘The Table’

We need 8 to 10 TURKEYS cooked, sliced for serving, and packed in disposable aluminum trays.

Volunteers (YOU) are asked to deliver the prepared turkey to Union Church by 9:30 AM on Thanksgiving Day! They will then be delivered by volunteers to Hot Metal Church – The Table at 10:00 AM.

Chili Cook Off

Save the date: February 23, 2025
We will be kicking off this year’s Chili Cook-Off Season with a planning meeting on Monday, November 18th at 6:30 via Microsoft Teams and live at the Noble House. Thank Offering Sunday

Sunday, November 17th will be designated as Thank Offering Sunday. Presbyterian Women have asked the congregation to support this special offering for many years. A special bulletin insert will explain how this financial offering is used. If you plan to help with this mission work envelopes will be provided, please make checks payable to Presbyterian Women.

GUATEMALA CHRISTMAS BASKET PROJECT

Pedro and Samantha Torrez are raising funds for the Guatemala Christmas Basket Project, a mission that impacts impoverished families in San Cristobal, Guatemala by providing baskets of food and other necessities as a Christmas blessing.
Each basket contains $50 worth of goods, and the baskets will be distributed to the recipients in San Cristobal before Christmas. This year’s goal is to impact more than 150 families by providing them with a basket! Contact Pedro & Samantha Torrez at 724-984-9312 with questions.

Calm before the Storm

Tuesday, November 19 6PM-8PM DINNER INCLUDED

We are excited to be introducing a new ministry with an invitation for one night out together this month. "Calm before the Storm" will be our youth and children's family ministry night for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders with an exciting experiment for parents, grandparents, and children to come and visit and learn together on the same ministry night! Come celebrate, learn, and pray together on our first ministry launch night. We will offer another night out the following month for youth, children and families together on Tuesday December 17th, 6-8 pm. (Deut.6:4-7)

Hoping to prayerfully move forward in family ministry nights together in the new 2025 year!
