Dear Union Church Family,

At last, the holiest and most sacred season of the church year has arrived! As we enter into Holy Week this coming Sunday, I remind you once again of this year’s worship schedule:

  • Palm Sunday:

Traditional worship service in the sanctuary at 11:00am. (In-person or online)

Family worship, egg hunt and food-truck fellowship at 12:30am. (Location: The Seneca Pavilion at Settlers Cabin). A food truck will be on hand, so bring a few extra dollars with you for lunch. And yes, it looks like there will be a significant chance of rain that day, so please do make preparations and join us in the park.

  • Good Friday:

Traditional Tenebrae worship service in the sanctuary with the choir and communion at 7:00pm. (In-person or online)

  • Easter Morning:

In addition to our online Easter services, we will be having in-person worship services at 9am (Contemporary) and 11am (Traditional).

Finally, even as we ourselves make preparations to worship together this holy week, so let us also make sure to prepare our hearts and souls for what the Lord might do in our lives and the lives of those who do not yet know the Risen King. Again, we kick off holy week this coming Palm Sunday with the “Triumphal Entry.” My text is Luke 19:28-48 and the sermon is entitled “Enter the King!”

See you in church,

Palm Sunday Outdoor Service and Egg Hunt

We're excited to celebrate the start of Easter week together as a church family. In addition to our normal 11:00 service, we invite you to join us at Settler's Cabin Park Seneca Shelter on March 28th for an outdoor service, food truck and activities for the whole family. Worship will begin at 12:30 p.m. with activities to follow. The egg hunt will be by age beginning at 1:30 p.m. Please register each family for planning purposes and don't forget your lawn chairs and running shoes! See you at the park!

Thank You!

Many thanks for remembering me with prayers and cards during my recent illness. God bless Union Church. - From Phyllis Hall.

Women's Bible Study

Tuesday, March 30th, Women's Bible Study at 12:30 in Fellowship Hall. Paul's 3rd missionary journey is coming to an end. We will witness his parting words to the many new Christians who loved Christ and learned of Him through Paul and the working of the Holy Spirit. ALL WOMEN INVITED! Hope to see you there! Please wear your mask and we will be social-distanced.

Meatballs and Missions

Following the outdoor service on May 23rd: The rolling meatballs Food Truck will make a return appearance, and the Union Church missions team will host a Chance Auction to Benefit the Mission Fund. The missions team is seeking donations for the chance auction. Please let us know if your family or your business can donate a basket or items for this chance auction. This chance auction will replace the annual Chili Cook-Off with a plan for it to return in 2022.

Food Pantry Donations Needed

The Deacons are accepting non-perishable grocery items for the monthly food pantry. We need spaghetti sauces, cake mixes, icing, canned fruit and vegetables as well as chili ingredients. We do accept all food donations. Additionally, paper products, cleaning supplies, health and beauty items will be accepted. Please put all donations in the donation boxes in Fellowship Hall. Thank you for your support!

Union and 412 Rescue

Currently a 412 volunteer delivers produce every Sunday between 10-12 that needs to be unpacked and separated into bags to be used before it spoils. We have offered this additional service to our present Food Pantry clients as a supplement to our monthly boxes. What food we have left we encourage our members to take to share with family, friends and neighbors who are food insecure. Anyone wishing to help with delivery and bagging is welcome to help. Please contact one of your deacons to volunteer!
