YOUR WISH IS GRANTED!

All spring our students raised money for Make-A-Wish. They raised over $8000 and this past Friday night, they got to grant the wish to a 3 year old boy named Layton who wanted to go to Disney World. We had a fun night throwing a Luau for him and his family. He played games all over the youth mission, won tickets, and then turned them in for the “grand prize.” He never stopped moving the whole time he was here! Everyone did such a great job helping his family feel so at home that after they exited the building through a line of bubbles, they came back in and played some more. It was an amazing night and so thankful for everyone who helped make it happen, including Melissa and Millie Shelby who made punch for the night, Miss Ann who organized food for everyone, students who helped decorate and set up all day, and everyone who gave money to support Make-A-Wish and bless this family!

ROMAN DAWIDOW BAPTIZED

On Monday night, one of our juniors was baptized here at church with his family. Roman is a kid that has been living for Jesus already, a great leader and encourager in HYG, and such a joy to be around. It was simple, beautiful, and easy to celebrate him and what God is doing in his life.
