Legacy

Proverbs 13:22 says that, “A good person leaves a legacy for their children’s children….”

It is not just people that leave legacies, churches do as well.

Last Sunday we celebrated 60 wonderful years. This Sunday you will be invited to commit to some very practical steps so that future generations can one day celebrate the legacy left to them.

This is our Legacy Project Pledge Sunday!

Services are at either 8 am and 10 am. There willl be no evening service as the Christmas Carols service will be taking place at 4:30 pm.

And if you really can't join us at church you can find us live on Facebook at 8 am or 10 am on YouTube Live.

Combined Carols

The Churches of Westville will be joining together for a carol service.

This will happen at Home Ground THIS Sunday, 10 December at 4:30 pm. Invite your friends and family to join.

Children are encouraged to dress up as a character from the nativity!

Download the attachment below and whatsapp it to your friends and family!

Serving at Christmas

Christmas is coming!

This is the time of year when we welcome family and friends into church. We want them to feel welcome and eager to come back.

We want you to be just as excited about your role as this little kid is for his role in the nativity play. Click here to watch.

This Christmas you get an opportunity to volunteer your time and talents to help us make everyone feel welcome.

Parking, welcoming, tea making, etc - have a look at the list and find a place to serve this Christmas.

Just click on the link below to find out how you can serve this Christmas.

Expat social

An expatriate or "expat" is somebody who leaves their country of origin and settles abroad for an extended period of time, often permanently.

This time of year can be hard to be away from your country, family and traditions.

George & Laura are from Kenya and America. They would love you to join them for a social on 1 January 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Church Hall.

If you are able to, bring a plate of eats representing your culture.

Please let Laura know if you'll be there by WhatsApping her on 0676772630

24 Hours of Prayer

If you've never attended an hour or two of the 24 hours of prayer, maybe this feedback from those who have attended willl encourage you to click on the link below to sign up.

  • It was brilliantly designed & a great experience. Especially if you are like me & your mind wanders when you try to pray.
  • The hour goes by really quickly. The guidance provided is well thought out and helps
  • I didn't know what to expect as it was my first one. Completely surpassed my expectations. The space allowed me to connect with God and facilitated meaningful time spent in His presence. I didn't want to leave!
  • If you have a busy life and you have been struggling to sit down with the purpose of encountering God this is a great way to do it and will refresh your soul.

There is nothing better than kicking off 2024 with intentional time with God.

We will have time to pray as individuals for ourselves, our families, church, country and the world.

Join us for one or more prayer slots over a 24 hour period on 19-20 January.

There will be many engaging interactive prayer stations to help guide your time with God.

Our prayer is that just like men and women in the Bible were changed when they experienced God's living presence that we too will be transformed as we encounter Him in the Prayer Room.

Simply click on the link below to sign up for a slot.

Giving with a cheerful heart

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

You might never know how your giving is impacting the lives of so many, but because of you Home Ground can build a loving church and reach a lost and hurting world.

If you have never tithed before and have questions, we'd love to chat. Email us on feedback@homeground.org.za
