Morning services: Family Matters

“Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.” (Gal.5:1 – MSG)

Negative cycles can be broken.

God is in the “family business" and desires each of us to walk in wholeness. Our yesterdays do not have to determine our todays. Jesus is the hope we have, even when it comes to our family situations – and hope does not disappoint.

Family matters. Whether it's your family of birth, your current family or your church family.

Family is worth fighting for.

Our morning services are at 8 am and 10 am. They are also live on Facebook at 8 am and on YouTube Live at 10 am.

Evening service

This Sunday is the Comrades Marathon.

Did you know the first comrades took place in 1921? But running as a sport dates way back to hundreds of years BC.

This week we will be exploring the theme of running in the Bible, and what it looks like to run towards (or away from) God.

The evening service starts at 5:30 pm in the hall.

Blood donations

The South African National Blood Service will be at Home Ground Westville on Saturday, 10 June from 9 am to 2 pm.

You have the power to save lives!

SixtyPlus Pamper Day

Do you need a little TLC?

The churches of Westville are inviting those over 60 to attend a pamper day at Home Ground church on Thursday, 22 June from 9 am to 1 pm.

There will be various pamper stations where you can allow your body to receive some much needed attention!

This is a great opportunity to invite some friends to come and join in the fun.

For more information you can contact Dale on 0822190768 or dale@homeground.org.za

Are you solo parenting?

A support group focussing on providing single parents with emotional, spiritual and mental support will be starting soon.

Being a single parent can be a difficult role - functioning as both a mother and a father; dealing with your own emotional issues; working; dealing with finances and still providing a loving Christian home for your children.

The facilitator, Lizanne Whiteley, is a single parent to 3 teenagers who understands first-hand the hardships that are associated with parenting alone.

If you are interested in finding out more then join the introductory session on Saturday 24 June from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Times for future sessions to be decided upon at the introductory session.

RSVP by 19 June to feedback@homeground.org.za.

(A babysitter can be arranged, just let us know please.)
