“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” (Proverbs 14:12)

Have you ever noticed that people always seem to support free speech in this country as long as it supports their positions in life? They are all for the First Amendment of our U.S. Constitution as long as you agree with what they want you to believe! If you oppose their view, you are a racist, extremist or a terrorist. But the truth is, as long as we do not seek to undermine the government, we are free to operate within its parameters to assure true fairness and equality for all.

You see, man has a way of deciding what is right or wrong without truly considering the fairness of their decisions for others. As a result, God broke through this delusion by inspiring king Solomon to write Proverbs 14:12. Man’s ways are not God’s ways. Man’s ways are tainted by “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life” (1 John 2:16). The apostle John went on to say that the problem with man’s ways is this...“they are not of the Father, but of this world.” He went on to sum up…“And the world is passing away, and the lust of it.” (1 John 2:17a) But, the good news is–“but he who does the will of God abides forever.” (1 John 2:17b)

So, while man’s ways might seem right, they are truly wrong. But if we commit our ways to God and do His will, we can live forever! How wonderful is that! We can teach this truth to all, and the result will be peace in our lifetime and the love of God renewing our hearts and minds! That is a win for all of humanity.
