“If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” (1 John 2:29)

As I kook out at the world today, the scene displayed is very confusing. People are pointing fingers and saying that if do not believe what they do.... well, they will call you all kinds of names such as...homophobic, xenophobic, misogynist, Islamophobic, hater, and racist to persuade you that you are wrong in your beliefs. To emphasize their point, they demonstrate in the streets.

But, the Bible warned of these times. Paul wrote his apprentice Timothy and said....

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Paul went on to say...

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

So, what should be our position in these times? Well, the apostle John wrote this amazing truth about false teachers...

“These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. (1 John 2:26-27)

That is why John was able to give us this hope... “If you know that Jesus is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” This is how we discern right from wrong, and truth from a lie... those who practice righteousness as Jesus did are true and all others are liars and teachers of wickedness. So, take heart and do not fear, for you know the truth!
