The church has joined with the children's ministry as they learn to memorize Bible verses in their Sunday classes. We are now in the second year of our congregational memorization project. This verse reassures us that there is no changing with Jesus; we can fully rely on Him- Hebrews 13:8

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

Pastor Joe Carroll is now teaching from the book of Ephesians. You're invited to read ahead so you can be prepared for the teaching as it comes up.

We have probably sung "Surrender" in the distant past, so here are the words if you want a review.

This Sunday we celebrate as a church family the Mission of a Mom. We are grateful to the Lord and thank Him for the relentless effort and sacrifice of the mothers who are with us today!

Several members in our College and Career group are in Hawaii for a 10-day trip May 6-16 that will focus on experiencing and assisting the established ministry of Surf The Nations. Their daily activities include outreach to poor communities, a feeding program, church outreach and public school youth mentoring. This announcement is to bring awareness of their need for prayer and support.

Men have been getting together regularly for a time of breakfast and Bible study at Denny's (200 North). This gathering is for men in the church to be encouraged and be part of a regular discipleship. They will meet this Tuesday, May 11, at 9 a.m. For more information, contact Ed Merrihew at (760) 579-3680.

The Children's Ministry will conduct its quarterly meeting Sunday, May 16, after the Bible study. Current and future volunteers are invited to this planning and vision meeting. If you have felt that the Lord is calling you to begin serving in the Nursery/Children's ministry, then plan on attending.

There are opportunities for adults to serve in the Children's Ministry helping in grades 1-5. Join a team of teachers faithfully passing our faith along to the next generation. If you are interested, complete a Ministry Form and drop it in one of the tithe boxes.

Ongoing needs present an opportunity for adult volunteers to serve in the Nursery. You will be joining a team of servants who find a joyful reward in serving the Lord. Interested? Please complete the Ministry Form included in your bulletin.

Have you ever noticed how welcoming it is to come into a clean facility such as our Church? We have a dedicated group of individuals who are awesome about cleaning up the Church so that all the saints may gather and feel welcomed. These servants gather on Monday mornings at 8:30 to thoroughly clean the Church. We have a current need for servants in this ministry. So if you feel that God is calling you to meet this need, fill out a Ministry Form and drop it in one of the tithe boxes.
