Beatrice D. (Shaughnessy) Lavigne

Beatrice D. (Shaughnessy) Lavigne, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell and the beloved wife of the late Raymond R. Lavigne, Sr., passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. She was 88.

Born in Lowell on December 31, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Malvina F. (Goyette) Shaughnessy.

Prior to her retirement in 1986 Beatrice worked for the former Wang Laboratories. She was a member of the Lowell First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Raymond R., Jr, and Leslie Lavigne of The Villages, FL, Arthur H. and Amy Lavigne of Hagerstown, MD, Michelle R. and Paul Wedel of Nashua, NH, Jacqueline F. and Paul Vandette of Wilmington, NC; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother Roland Shaughnessy of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late George, Henry, and Arthur Shaughnessy.

Relatives and friends are invited to Beatrice's Life Celebration on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11 AM at the Lowell First Church of the Nazarene, 1195 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
