Kelley, Daniel J. "Dan" age 44, of Northfield MN, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 after a sudden and unexpected cardiac event. Dan was born November 13, 1978, in St. Paul, MN, to Vernon and Christine (Waska) Kelley. Dan is survived by his parents, Vernon and Linda Kelley; his siblings, Valerie (Doug) Kelley Amsden and Ross (Amanda) Kelley; grandmother, Dorothy Waska; uncle, David Waska; aunt, Judy Kanfield; former wife, Donnell Bowen and their three beloved dogs, Chief, Duke & Boe; and loving nephews, nieces and cousins. Dan is preceded in death by his mother, Christine; cousin, Brian Kanfield; his grandparents, Ray & Freda Kelley and Joseph Waska; and dogs, Maverick and Hollywood. Dan grew up in Lakeville, trucking and farming alongside his dad. Starting at age 5, he loved being on the South Dakota Farm, and recently loved the Northfield property and how he could literally spend every single day doing what he loved most. He spent almost the entirety of his career in his family's petroleum distribution company, Kelley Fuels, preferring - of all his many jobs - to be under a truck or behind the wheel. He spent the last few months renewing his passion for the industry with Staples Oil Company. Dan grew up in the Southview Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was also very involved in the Minnesota Petroleum Marketers Association, holding many positions over the years. Dan also enjoyed boating, fishing, fast cars, Minnesota sports - especially the Wild - and attending all his nieces' and nephews' activities and events. He was steadfast, loyal and loved by all that had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Dan's life will be at 4:30PM on Sunday, December 4, at Crossroads Church, 17671 Glacier Way in Lakeville, MN. Visitation will start at 3:00PM, and an informal gathering will follow the service. Services are being coordinated through Gill Bros. Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Avenue South in Bloomington.
