    for Spring Refresh: a tea luncheon for Daughters of the King

    Thank you for your interest in being a Table Hostess for our tea luncheon. Please read the following to know what the job entails. Submit your name, email, and phone to help us better communicate with you. We have some hostesses in place already. A total of fifteen are needed, so we will do our best to accommodate your request.     PLEASE NOTE: We will be holding a Table Hostess meeting at Living Truth so any questions or concerns can be addressed. Time and date are tentatively set for May 2nd, after service.

     

     A little about the event:

    We will enjoy a three course luncheon and special tea service. Moms and daughters, age junior high and up, are encouraged to attend. We will have a guest speaker. There will be voting for the favorite table setting and a spring inspired hat competition for those interested. It should be a wonderful time of fellowship and refreshment.

     

    Table Hostess Instructions:

    • Tables will be set by Eagle Glen with white linens (linens are not floor length), dishes, and flatware for 8.
    • Table Hostess to provide table decorations to include:
    A centerpiece (please keep in mind that high centerpieces can restrict conversation)
    1 tea pot (2 if possible)
    Tea cups and saucers (8 of each)
    8 small favors (one for each place setting)
    • Tea bags for each table will be provided, but table hostesses can choose to provide their favorite tea or their own tea selection in addition.
    • Table Hostesses need to arrive no later than 9:30 AM the day of the event to begin setting up their table.
    • No outside food or beverages (tea bags okay) are allowed to be brought in or taken out (cookie favors or treat type favors for your guests are allowed).
    • If you are planning to use candles in your centerpiece, they need to be in a container with the wick enclosed and recessed at least 1/2 inch below the container. No tapers.
    • No glitter, confetti, or balloons
    • Nothing can be attached to the walls
    • No electricity will be available
    • Please do not use family heirlooms, if you do, you will be doing so at your own risk.
