As a SOAR Associate Director at Grace Church you can expect to oversee and build teams to shepherd the participants and families of the SOAR (children through adults with special needs) ministry. You will also communicate, create, develop and provide vision for the department with support and collaboration from a team of volunteers and directors.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Recruit, build, train, and lead teams of servant leaders including volunteers
- Schedule, plan and coordinate weekend services for SOAR in Grace Kids, Grace Students and SOAR Adults
- Assist and oversee in developing curriculum for all SOAR classes
- Assist in planning and coordinating SOAR R&R (Respite), Family Support Groups, SOAR Camp and all SOAR events
- Manage and be the champion for the new volunteer process and build a team to handle recruitment and training
- Track SOAR Volunteer requirements
- Assist in making volunteer SOAR assignments
- Recruit, train and schedule paid or unpaid SOAR childcare workers for SOAR participants as needed for church wide events, meetings and classes
- Partner with Family Ministries as it relates to SOAR families
- Provide leadership for the staff and volunteers who serve Grace Church in the areas of SOAR ministry
- Stay current on ministry trends
- Participate in planning and strategy meetings
- Oversee the development of the department budget and manage spending within those budgets
- Lead SOAR Department in team management, department projects, activities and meetings
- Manage all promotion requests and facility requests for all SOAR events and functions
- Assist SOAR Director with the management of SOAR Social Media accounts under the direction of the Communications Department
Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or Biblical studies is preferred
- Ministry experience at a large church
- Have a passion for helping adults and children with special needs
- Creative and focused
- Has effectively led people; directly or indirectly
- Great relational skills: full of faith, friendly, calm, and professional
- Outstanding communication, organizational and team-building skills
