99.1: A Calvary Chapel Church
In the heart of Placentia, CA, 99.1 is a new church that serves as a place of refuge for people who may have felt uncomfortable attending a traditional Sunday service. A ministry inspired by Jesus’ words in Luke 15, “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."
Each color within the logo of 99.1 represents something. The color red represents Christ's blood which washes us white as snow. The number 99 represents the church which is the color white that's been washed with Christ's blood. Then the "point" of the 99 is to constantly be in search of the one who is lost in darkness. Thus, the one is dark. The logo is meant to be a witnessing tool so people will ask you what it means and then you can gladly answer them by sharing the gospel message with them.
