WORSHIP THIS COMING SUNDAY (7/25) MAY BE MOVED INDOORS
Union Church Family,
The Psalmist writes:
“Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him…
Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.
For the word of the Lord is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does…
the earth is full of his unfailing love.” — Psalm 33:1-5
Did you hear that? Corporate praise is “fitting” not only because God is worthy of our praise, but also it “fits” us because we were created for it— now and for eternity. Personally, what a delight and privilege it is for me to join with you in praise and worship of our faithful and loving God — week in and week out!
Sadly, due to the possibility of bad weather, we may to have to scratch outdoor praise and worship in the parking lot this coming Sunday (7/25). We will be making a “game-time” decision on Sunday morning. So, please come prepared to bring worship inside if need be. In any event, we will still be offering food truck service following the service, as well as opening up Fellowship Hall for a time of fellowship to follow. The food truck is from “Hermes” and you can view the menu here.
Again, we were created not only for praise in general, but to worship something (or Someone) supremely, to have our hearts and minds captivated and to become enraptured with the beauty of the Lord. Let us gather this coming Sunday at 11:00am in the parking lot (or the sanctuary) to do just that! Once again, we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper at the conclusion of the service.
See ya in worship!
