Dear Church Family,
First, it’s Memorial Day weekend. Let’s not neglect to remember the selfless sacrifice so many have made for us, especially our service men and women.
Second, wasn’t outdoor worship amazing this past Sunday? God blessed us with a beautiful day and I am so grateful for all of you who came out to join the party. Special thanks to the Missions team, as well as your generosity, to raise support and awareness for the Missions Fund. All in all $2,265 was raised, and I simply say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart.
Finally, Session voted on Monday, May 24 that beginning immediately individuals who are fully vaccinated can now come into the church building and sanctuary without masks. We will designate “the overflow” of the sanctuary for those who wish to maintain social distancing and masks, or families with young children. Of course, the Session encourages those of you who haven’t been vaccinated (if eligible) to please do so as soon as possible. Finally, following the lead of both public and private schools, Union will ask that children and students participating in youth programs continue to wear masks when indoors or outdoors if social distancing isn’t feasible. Click here for more information.
Again, this is Memorial Day weekend. So, please remember and give thanks always to our Heavenly Father. I will be preaching again from Luke 12:13-21; 32-34 this Sunday. The sermon is entitled “Aim of Life— Part II”
See you in worship!
Billy
