Dear Union Church Family,
Happy Friday! I hope that you are enjoying some of this glorious spring weather, and I pray that you are all doing well. It is so exciting to see the numbers of reported COVID 19 cases in the US continue to drop and the number of vaccinations rise. Can you feel it? We’re getting through this together, and I anticipate that life will be somewhat normal again in the next few months.
Of course, this is not the case for our brothers and sisters in India, Brazil and Mexico. My heart breaks for them and I urge you to join with me in prayer as they (and so many other places in the world) continue to struggle amidst this ongoing pandemic.
In this Sunday’s sermon, we continue to ask Jesus to teach us how to love. I will be looking at two scenes in the life and ministry of Jesus where both his zealous love, and his compassion for the broken is put on full display! The texts are Luke 7:36-50 and Mark 3:1-6 and the sermon is entitled, “Love, The Teacher: Part II”.
I would love for you to join us for in-person worship (if you are ready). Of course, if you are not able to attend in-person, please continue to worship with us at the Union Church of Robinson’s YouTube channel at 11:00am.
See you in Church,
Billy
