Backpack Outreach

Thank you, everyone, who donated towards the backpacks! We collected enough funds and backpacks to help 125 students! On Tuesday, several people from the congregation helped distribute the bags and supplies to the disadvantaged families from Centennial Academy of Fine Arts and Goddard Middle School. They were truly blessed and could not believe the generosity. The light of the Lord was shining through each of you that particiapted in this outreach. Thank you for touching the lives in our community.

How can I know God's will and ultimate purpose for my life? Can I really live a Christlike life today? This study begins Tuesday, August 27 at 7pm at the church. The cost is $12.50. Register at the Information Booth by Sunday, August 18. Child care is not available.

City Changers

On Wednesday, September 4, from 6:30-8:00pm, we will begin our third series of City Changers, The 3 Colors of Community. The aim is to establish God's Kingdom wherever a person might find themselves, inside or outside the church. It is designed to equip and release empowered city changers. This training is for middle school through adults. If you would like a workbook, you must register by Sunday, August 18 and the cost is $17. You can attend this series without having attended the first two series.

The Case for Grace

Instructor: Lonnie Trujillo

Cost: $6

In The Case for Grace, Lee Strobel uses his journalistic skill to tell true stories of lives transformed by the grace of God, including his own. Discover the "how" and "why" behind God's redeeming love! Traveling 16,470 miles to uncover powerful personal stories from across the world, Strobel offers the experiences of orphans, addicts, wayward children, prisoners, and murderers as examples of God's amazing grace. Each interview reveals a different aspect of the Lord's forgiveness---and its transforming power in lives and relationships.

The Family Project

Instructor: Jason McCollam

Cost: $12

The Family Project vividly explores God's irreplaceable design for the family, and examines the profound impact of biblical families on the world today. Rediscover God's original purpose - renew faith in His timeless design - and reclaim the image of family from a changing modern-day perspective.

Lord Give Me a Heart for You

Instructor: Dona Trujillo

Cost: $13

WOMEN ONLY – In this study based on II Corinthians, Kay examines the anatomy of a heart for God. What it looks like. What it feels like. And how you can strengthen your own relationship with God. Despite the deep physical, emotional and spiritual pain of life, Paul could rest in the God of all comfort and strength. He could walk in obedience to his calling. He could fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith. And now through this compelling, insightful and moving Bible study, so can you.

Love and Respect

Instructor: Anthony & Brandi Hatzenbuehler

Cost: $30 per couple

MARRIED COUPLES – Love & Respect is based on the biblical passage from Ephesians 5:33. Dr. Emerson’s premise is that communication between a husband and wife is often frustrated because of the vastly different ways in which men and women perceive love. Women are wired to need unconditional love and men need to feel unconditionally respected.

Spiritual Discipleship

Instructor: Daniel Benton

Cost: $14

“Have nothing to do with godless myths ...; rather train yourself to be godly.” I Timothy 4:7. True disciples pursue their Master. They know that God is watching over their faith, but they also take Scripture’s command seriously: “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you.” They take pains, by His power, to look more and more like Jesus.

This book will help you to be such a disciple. It examines Jesus’ teaching on what it means to follow Him, helping you become the kind of Christian Jesus wants you to be – not one devised by man or even other Christians.

The Total Money Makeover

Instructor: Chris Noyes

Cost: $25 per person or couple

Is your "owe" starting to show? Shrink your waste line, bulk up your bank balance, and get into financial shape with money expert and radio host Ramsey's comprehensive---and simple---plan for debt-free living. You'll be fiscally fit in no time! All of this is with a Biblical viewpoint.

Your Life in Christ

Instructor: Mike Argall

Cost: $7

Your Life in Christ shows what it means to accept God’s love for you. Its 8 sessions will help you keep Christ at the center of your life and learn to live in the power of the Spirit.

We encourage you to come join either study at any time. It's a great time of getting deeper in the Word.

Need Prayer?

Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Click on Submit Prayer Request to submit your request.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING

Continual, persistent, incessant prayer is an essential part of Christian living and flows out of humility and dependence on God. Please lift up this request throughout the week.
