APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Apple cider vinegar is a kind of vinegar that is made from apples. It has a pale orange/yellow color, and it’s used regularly in cooking, but many people also use it as a preservative. The vinegar is great for making chutneys and marinades, but many people dislike it for its bitter taste.

The cause of this bitter taste is the addition of bacteria and yeast to apple juice. It soon ferments and becomes an acidic vinegar. However, the taste doesn’t always have to matter – in fact, many people use apple cider vinegar for non-cooking purposes. From hair care to cleaning, apple cider vinegar can offer a natural alternative to man-made chemicals, and you might be surprised.

A natural cleaner/freshener

There are plenty of cleaners on the market, and as nice as they may smell, they’re not necessarily good for you or the environment. These sprays and aerosols are made from manmade chemicals, but apple cider vinegar is completely natural and can do the same job!

To make your own cleaner and freshening solution, mix half a cup of vinegar with one cup of water, and use it to clean appliances in your home. From kitchen surfaces to windows, mirrors to microwaves, it is an effective cleaner that smells great.
