We call our Sunday morning service a “Celebration” because we believe a primary reason we gather together is to celebrate God’s grace and goodness to us. Throughout the Scripture we find God’s people being assembled together to experience the Lord’s leadership. We believe the Scripture teaches that there are some things God chooses to do in our lives only as we come together corporately.
Our services, which begin at 10:00am on Sundays, focus on ministries that serve the entire church in a group setting.
These ministries include:
Praise & Worship:
A time of expressing our adoration and love for God and the declaring of His glory through song and consideration of His worthiness.
Tithes & Offerings:
Worshiping the Lord through the giving of our finances to the furtherance of His purposes.
Preaching of the Word of God:
This is where we come together to hear the Word of the Lord which challenges, convicts, envisions, and inspires our walks as individual Christians and as a local church.

What is Alpha?
More than eight million people all over the world have completed The Alpha Course since the mid 1990's in churches, homes, schools, universities and prisons. Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. It’s free dinner, low-key conversation, and friendly fun. So why not take this opportunity to explore the meaning of life?
What Happens at Alpha?
The evening begins with a free dinner at 6:30pm. After dinner there is a talk given on “Exploring the Meaning of Life”. After the talk, there is a small group discussion time where you can feel free to ask questions and express your opinions about the topic. The dinner is our gift to you.
How Can I Register?
The Alpha Course is held here at Lakeview Christian Center. We do two courses each year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall. If you have any questions, or need help registering, contact the church office at 504.482.6221 or visit our website.

The mission of LCC Kids is to partner with parents in their calling to train children in the knowledge and fear of the Lord.
Because children are a blessing from the Lord, it's our desire to create a safe, loving, fun, and orderly environment in which the children entrusted to our care are able to learn about God, the Bible, and Jesus Christ.
Our children’s ministry classes range from six months through sixth grade. Our nursery and 2-3 year old classes are availble for the full service, while our PreK through Sixth grade students join the adults for worship and then are dismissed for an age appropriate lesson where Gospel truths are taught through song, stories, skits, object lessons, and activities.
Each class is taught by 2-3 volunteers who undergo Ministry Safe training, background checks, and pastoral approval. We also provide a check-in system to ensure the safety of your child while they remain in our care.
We also partner with parents in reinforcing Gospel truths at home through devotionals that complement our Sunday morning lessons.
Let us know if we can answer any other questions or serve you further in any way!

Today’s teenagers (grades 7-12) face one of the most difficult times in history of “finding their way” in life. Values are shifting, convictions are few, and the pressure to fit in weighs heavily.
The Goal of LCC Youth is Centered in:
- Strengthening the family – we believe parents have the greatest ability and impact on leading their children
- Creating a community that reflects God’s vision for young people as part of the church.
We believe these years are not merely to be survived, but rather they are years to discover all that God has in store for each young person.
Wednesday Nights
The Youth gather every Wednesday night to experience God through worship, preaching, and small group meetings in which they discuss issues confronting today’s youth. The meeting begins each week at 7:00p.
Fun Activities
In addition to regular Wednesday night meetings, the youth participate in several fun activities throughout the year. These include game nights, scavenger hunts, all-night lock-ins, and movie nights. Friends are always welcome to come!
Youth Camp
Each year the youth look forward to Youth Camp. This is always a memorable time for the youth to experience the Lord together, build lasting relationships with one another, and play a lot of messy, crazy games!

Lakeview's Women's Ministry seeks to encourage, strengthen, and train the women of the church through the teaching of the Word and fellowship with one another. We offer multiple different avenues to get plugged in with other women of the church:
The Well:
"The Well" gatherings take place quarterly throughout the year for women of all ages. Gathering nights include a variety of worship, teaching, fellowship, games, dessert, prayer, and encouragement. We gather as women at "The Well" around the living water of the Word to look to Jesus, build up one another, and experience life in His name. Contact Hope Roberts or subscribe to our newsletter for more info.
Women of the Word:
Women of the Word is a weekly Bible study, taught by Anna Chatelain. It meets every Wednesday at 10:00a. This semester will be a study of Exodus using the Life Change series study guide. For information about the next meeting, check out the LCC Calendar.

Lakeview's Men's Ministry seeks to encourage, strengthen, and train the men of the church through the teaching of the Word and fellowship with one another. We offer multiple different avenues to get plugged in with other men from the church:
Men's Prayer:
Every second Friday of the month, the men of the church gather for a time of prayer. This meeting begins at 6:30am and is held in Room 200 at LCC.
Men's Retreat:
Each year in January, Lakeview hosts a retreat for men from Sovereign Grace Churches in the southeastern U.S. This event is a great time to gather to meet with God, experience fellowship with friends, and receive renewed vision to live as men called by God.
